Behind every Urban Walker bag is more than just craftsmanship, there’s a story of tradition, care, and second chances.

Each of our bags is handmade in a peaceful village (Jiang Shu) in China, where the workshop is filled with a group of incredible women, all aged 60 and above, with the oldest reaching over 80 years old. Many of them are housewives who have spent their lives caring for their families. Now, they’re rediscovering purpose and pride through every stitch they make.

Living in the countryside, these women may not have had access to full-time jobs or urban income opportunities. But through Urban Walker, they now have the chance to earn money from home, build new friendships, and spend their time doing something meaningful, something they can proudly call their own.

Each bag they make carries more than just your belongings. It carries stories, memories, and the spirit of women who prove that it’s never too late to start something new.
